How to Play the Exciting Game of Craps

Craps is an exciting casino game as well as very fun to play with. Craps rules have been developed throughout the many years of the game's history. Because of the popularity of craps, the future of the game in the coming years has already been guaranteed.

The first thing that you might notice in a craps table is the shooter. The shooter is a craps player who is responsible of throwing the dice. Every craps player has an opportunity of becoming a shooter because this role is passed from one player to another as the gaming session went on.

Craps rules consist of the different kinds of bets. The pass line bet is the most common and basic of all the bets in craps rules.

The first dice throw of every new shooter in craps is known as the come out roll. After the throw, craps rules stated that if a seven or an 11 is hit, all pass line bets win. If the hit is a two, three, or 12, all pass line bets lose. If the hit is any of these numbers - four, five, six, eight, nine, or ten - the number hit will be marked as the point.

When a point is already established in the craps game, the shooter must roll the dice again. If the point is hit again, the pass line bets will win. If a seven is hit after establishing the point, all pass line bettors lose. If any other number is hit, it means that the shooter must need to throw the dice one more time.

Don't pass bet in craps is the exact opposite of the pass line bet. Craps rules stated that don't pass bettors win if a two or three is hit during the come out roll. They lose on a seven or 11 hit, and ties on a 12 hit. If a point has been established in craps game, don't pass bettors win on the hit of seven and lose when the point is hit again.

Once a point is established, craps rules now allow players to make additional bets to their pass line bets. This additional bet in craps is called odds bet. Odds bet in craps is an advantage bet because it will pay the true odds and has zero house advantage.

The come bets is another bet in craps that is similar to the pass line bets. The only difference is that come bets are only placed after the come out roll was already made and a point has already been established.

The don't come bet is the exact opposite of the come bet in craps. Other craps bet that are less common are buy bets, place bets, lay bets, big six and big eight bets, field bets, and proposition bets.

For beginners of craps, the most recommended thing to do is to make your bets primarily on the pass line, come bets, and odds bets and avoid risking your money on the other bets.
